After about 10 years of planning and preparation, we purchased Visvi at Shelter Bay Marina in Panama in September 2025. She had been sitting at the marina for over a year and needed a little TLC to get back in shape. Since we were still working full-time, it was an ideal time to have her bottom painted, engines and saildrives serviced, upholstery work done and some electrical upgrades completed. We made trips to Panama to check on things during the 5 months between September and January 2026.
In February 2026 we both retired and moved aboard full-time. We completed some more boat projects to make her more comfortable and cruised the Caribbean coast of Panama a bit. In late April we left Panama for the 1100 mile sail to the Bahamas.
